DPNCHC's Helder Marcos is climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Helder Marcos is passionate about the difference that dedication can make.
A lifelong Davenport resident and current DPNCHC board member, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro has been a goal of his for years. With that goal about to become a reality, a chance emerges to lend support to our Community Dining Program.
The Community Dining Program is a program that connects people to the things they need: food, resources, community and friendship. For many participants, their Community Dining Program meal will be their only meal of the day. However, despite its success over the years in reaching its goals, cuts to funding and rising food costs have meant an ongoing struggle to see it reach its full potential, and have put its future in jeopardy. Now, for Helder, a personal goal has become an opportunity to help others.
